I think we are finally on our way!!!!!!

To potty training!! :D :D :D

Two days ago, Taysen peed in the potty for the very first time ever!! :) It was right after his bath time and he peed on some fruitloops...he thought it was hilarious! :) We rewarded him with a trip to Sunoco to get some M&M's. :) (He loved that part.)

Then yesterday he had a field trip for his last day of school at the zoo, so there wasnt many opportunities to even ask him...plus it was pouring down rain so it wasnt so much fun...haha. Anyhow at nightI asked him if he wanted to try, and he did, but it only lasted about 10 minutes and he was done and didnt feel like trying anymore. So we stopped and just put back on his diaper and forgot about it for the evening.

Then this morning after his breakfast I asked him if he wanted to pee again...he said he didnt want any M's. (He just calls them M's...haha) Anyhow, so ok fine, I sort of thought Id just drop the issue and do whatever. Well then I thought maybe it would be in my interest to tempt him. LOL...so I put a nice full cup of M's on the sink in front of his potty...so they could remind him of what he gets if he goes. And he played around in the bathroom for about 30 minutes and finally he stops, runs back to the potty, waddles over top of it (lol I swear I thought little boys sat...but he insists on standing!) LOL!! and he pees right into the potty!! I didnt even have to ask him or remind him, and as soon as the stream of urine stopped, he said "I want M's mom!" haha...he is adorable! :D So FINALLY...I think we might actually be on our way to potty training!! YAY!

That is awesome! I hope you have a lot better luck than me. We no longer even verbally push the issue. It seems to make him more defiant about the whole thing so I just have to wait until HE and only HE decides when he is going to use the potty. I'll find out more tomorrow about his issues and what we are actually dealing with when I take him to the doctor.
