5 days in...26 stickers later

So we are definitely doing great with the potty training. I actually cant believe that this is even happening. I didnt think he was going to do so well, and I thought it would just be another failed attempt. :)

Its day 5 since Taysen's very first pee in the potty...and he already has 26 stickers on his pee pee chart! :) 24 of them are for peeing, and last night he took his very first poop on the potty, so he got 2 stickers for that one. (And a new race car. :D ) I always ask him if he has to go potty, and he always says no...when he has to go, if he has undies on he tells us to take them off (for pee so far) and if we have taken his undies off (like if it seems like its been a while since he peed last) he just goes to the potty all by hisself and when he is done he runs to us and says "See! I pee!!" He is so proud of hisself. Its really cool.

Technically I helped him with his first poop, because I noticed him hiding behind the chair, and I asked him if he had to poop, and he said "GO WAY MOM!" Which translates out to "Im trying as we speak." LOL...so I took his undies off and sat him on the toilet, and he did get a little poop out into his potty. He wasnt happy that I helped him, but once he saw it in the potty and it was all done he was so proud of hisself. He hasnt tried to poop again since, but Im hoping that it will go as easy peasy as the pee has gone.

The peeing is seriously in the bag. This morning he came up to Josh and told him to take his diaper off because he had to pee. (He had just gotten out of bed like 30 minutes before and he hadnt gotten changed yet...) So if he really wanted to he could have just peed in the diaper since it was already on...but he is really doing good. :)

He has had 2 accidents since starting this all...one the very first day, and one on sunday when he was playing outside, Im guessing he didnt want to go inside to pee. But really, for 5 days, only 2 accidents is great I think! :)

We even took him to our meeting on Sunday in his underwear. (Its 2 hours long.) I brought an extra pair of pants and undies just incase he peed/pooped through...but he did great. I brought him back to the bathroom a couple of times and he did pee 1/2 way through the meeting in his potty. (I just brought the bowl part with us and held it for him) He didnt even have any accidents in the car ride to and from. I just cant believe it.

The funniest thing ever is that this kid only stands to pee. It is so funny. I thought he would eventually get lazy and stop standing...but he literally stands in front of the potty and puts his hands on the wall and leans over it...it cracks me up and me and Josh think it looks like he is going to get a body check in prison or something...it is hilarious to see...but hey whatever helps him aim right? LOL!

Anyhow...I just thought you guys would like an update on the little man's potty training! Lets just hope the pooping comes soon!

That's awesome!!! It took Emily about a month to poop on the toilet after she toilet trained herself for pee so don't stress if it takes him a bit to get there.
