So we are in between moves...things couldn't possibly go smoothly for one minute in our lives.
Josh talked to our landlord the day after we found out when our townhouse would be available so we could let him know when we would be moving out...(I think Josh talked to him on April 12th or something really close to that...) Anyhow, the person living at the townhouse now bought a new house, gets possession on May 1st...so you know it will only take a couple days for them to move out...then it will take a couple days for our new landlord to clean carpets/paint. Anyhow, we were just going to go from the house we were renting to our townhouse, like any normal move. But when we let our landlord know when we were moving, he basically said, sorry, you have to be out by the 1st of May. Nice, huh? So for 10-15 days we were going to have to store our entire house full of furniture and possessions and live with someone else until our townhouse is ready. Talk about inconvenient. So we were pretty pissed off that they couldnt hold on 10 more days...like it was the end of the world...so we packed up our stuff and left on the 15th of April. Why the heck pay a full month of rent to someone who cant even have the decency to wait 10 more days for our new place to be ready. Ya know? Our new landlord is really nice, Josh used to work for him when he worked in construction years ago. So he knows us, knows we are good people. He offered us a big enclosed trailer to put all of our things in so we didnt have to pay for storage, and even nicer, he is storing the whole trailer on his property in a barn. Thank goodness there are some decent people left on this earth. Ever since we left our old place, we have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. We never had a SINGLE problem with our old landlords until we told them we couldnt stay there anymore because of Josh's job situation...then things got ugly. Dont you love compassionate people? Ugh...
We are staying with very close friends of ours, Robin & Mike. I grew up with their children, but ended up being closest with Robin and her daughter Tarah. They have 3 adult kids (including Tarah) only one living at home, so there is decent room for us. Its different than living on our own, but it has been going really nice. They have made us feel at home. No one has an attitude...sort of the opposite of what you would get if you stay with a parent. Haha...if we chose a parent, the other set would be jealous that you didnt pick them. So this way both sets of our parents are mad at us, but at least they arent going to hate eachother more. Right? Anyhow...things have been going nice. We have a big room that we are sharing with the kiddos. We sort of thought that the kids wouldnt do so well but they have adjusted like this is how its always been. Thats one thing about my kids that I love...they are so adaptable even though they have pretty tight schedules. We didnt bring Rowans crib, she has been sleeping in her pack and play. We brought Taysen's toddler bed tho. We put Rowan to bed at 8p, Taysen to bed at 9p, and we go to bed whenever. Its working out nice. I am so ready to be "home" though...
I want to get on with our lives. I hate where we have been lately in our lives, I dont think we have ever been this down, and honestly if I could just pick up and leave Ohio and never turn back, I would. (Who knows, maybe it will become an option.) Josh is supposed to return to work on Monday...the rumors are flying though that as soon as they get there they are going to be directed toward a list of who is being kept and who is being permanently let go. Well see.
So enough of that...a little funny story...the other day, Taysen was playing with his race cars...and he brings me a little fuzzy...he does this often, he isnt fond of little clumps of fuzz. LOL...well I open my hand like I always do, and he puts it in my hand...BUT ITS NOT A PIECE OF FUZZ! ITS A SPIDER! AN ALIVE SPIDER!!! Ahhhhhhh! I got up so quick and I was screaming and jumping because I hate spiders...they give me the heebie jeebies! Taysen was cracking up at the show I was putting on! But really I was so terrified that my armpits starting sweating! LOL...luckily Josh found it and put it outside. I think I almost had a heart attack. But its a funny story. (Now that its over...haha!)
Well...I guess thats it for now! Here's to hoping that the next few weeks go by quickly and seamlessly! (HA! Who am I kidding? Maybe quickly...but Im guessing NO to seamlessly...)

Hey!!
I'm so sorry your old landlord acted like that. So childish :(
It's awesome that you've found a great place and the new landlord is great. How sweet of him to store that stuff for you and how awesome of your friends to let you stay with them :)
I hope things really start going great for yal *hugs*
I miss hearing from you! I hope the kiddos are doing great. I love the spider stories....gotta love boys ;)
I will keep my fingers crossed that Josh gets to keep his job. I know that the big companies that are downsizing in NJ are keeping all of the younger, lesser paid employees and permanently laying off the older, higher paid employees. So hopefully Josh will be in the younger group and I will keep my fingers crossed that things go smoothly for him and your move. Even though things are rough around you it does seem like there are a lot of people that love you around you. I mean really our parents would fight who would get stuck with us not over who wanted us LOL.
That's funny that Taysen picked up a spider. Damien has been obsessed with Spiderman for a long time now and just the other day he started noticing real spiders and webs and has become amazed by them. He was playing with one the other day and when I was putting him in the car he kept staring at the top of my head and hair. He said he was watching the spider come down so I'm thinking he put it in my hair. Thank goodness I'm on medication LOL.
I'm sorry to hear your landlord was such a jerk! I hope you can get moved into the new place soon!
I LMAO about the spider story. ha ha! They give me the creeps too.
Crossing my fingers that Josh gets to keep his job. How stressful!
That sucks about your landlord. How jerky of them but I'm glad your new landlord is being really nice!
I would freak if one of the girls put a spider in my hand! I hate them! But it's never going to happen here. Emily found a cockroach in the toilet the other day and I sprayed it and it ran towards me so I screamed, it turned around and ran for Emily and she was screaming her head off too. We're a big bunch of girls here!
